Mike is insufferable. He is extreamly rude. Like the previous op, I also felt like decking him> Good manners maketh the man!

I find it quite odd having to defend someone in an open forum such as this, but do so I will.
In the 5 weeks we have been here Mike & his wife Sally have been nothing but polite & helpful.
Sally even comes down to the marina every Friday morning in her car to take my wife +1 to get the
weekly shopping.

Can only suspect a conflict of personality or an attitude problem. Maybe not knowing how to take
people at face value on first contact before building up an understanding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a conflict of personality. We arrived late afternoon and were shown to a berth then frog marched to the GNR around the back. French friends arrived an hour or so later and were told they could stay on the hammerhead if they wanted. Short time later, Mike was leaving, knocked on our boat and told us that which of the empty berths were available for late arrivals. Going dark, started to blow up a bit and a large American cat arrived so our French friends moved into one of the empty berths so the cat could go on the hammerhead. No other large berth available.

All of us were woken up around 7am by Mike banging on the hulls, he'd totally lost the plot, told our French friends they had no right to move without his permission, told the Americans they should have gone elsewhere and *******ed me for assisting and causing him (Mike)trouble. Banged on the American's hull repeatedly asking when they were leaving which, in the end they did, although the weather wasn't good. When Sally prepared their bill he tore it up, said she'd made a mistake and used last years prices and he added a good percentage. He very clearly overcharged them. Sally just kept her head down, he smiled and, once they were out of earshot, said "I don't like Americans".

My wife spent some time with Sally, doing some translating for her and we both found her to be a very nice person, just the opposite to him. He's the steriotypical small angry man with a bl**dy great log on his shoulder.
