Anyone know a cheap source of paper for the ICS 4? First time i've had to buy them and a quick Google just give me a price of £28 for 8!!!
I hoping someone knwos a cheaper source otherwsie i may be seling the unit on ebay very soon!

You can make your own by slicing up fax rolls. Make a jig with two rollers and a fitting that holds a stanley blade vertical. Run the paper around the rollers so that the stanley blade slices the fax paper into navtex roll width, you can get two navtex rolls out of one fax roll and third strip which is too narrow to be of use. Cost per Navtex roll - about 50p

Cheaper sources...

Boxes of 8 NAV4 rolls might be a bit cheaper here. If you really want to save money, buy 80mm wide thermal cash register paper. It has a much greater length on each roll, so you'll probably have to unwind it on to old NAV4 rolls, but you can get 10 times more for the same money from people like this.

Or, of course, you can enter into the true "Blue Peter" spirit of PBO, and slice up fax rolls! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have bought my Navtex Rolls from Mr Paper ( www.mrpaper.co.uk ) and have recommended them to many people who have also bought from them. The chap there (I think Rick is his name) seems to be quite an expert on Navtex and he got me out of a tight spot and delivered to me in Spain within a couple of days. I know that they also delivered to a buddy in Mauritius!

9 year old thread, new user, promoting a web site. Sigh.
