I have2 Navpods in use on my boat one to display my ST60+ instruments and one to display the C120 charplotter. The 2 halves of each unit are joined together with long screws but the business end of each screw is finished with an Allen key type of end. However it's not as simple as that because there is also a "nib" protruding from the centre of the Allen key hole to prevent use of a normal common garden Allen key.

I've spoken to Greenham Marine who supply Navpods and they say they're called security Allen keys. They don't sell them (they say I should have been provided with one when I purchased the Navpods). I've tried everywhere to obtain one but come up against a dead end.

Does anyone know where I can obtain one? Or does anyone have a spare one or as a last resort can anyone lend me one?

Any help or advice appreciated.

Cheers, Brian.

No problem Brian, I've got several (sets) but I'm probably too far away to be much help!

However! They are readily available in sets. Either in full size allan key or in changeable bits.

Any decent motor factor should have them, but if you're stuck I can easily get you a set!

Thanks everyone including RickP who PM'd me. I'd never come across these security fasteners before and thought they were something Navpod had dreamed up! Seems they must be in quite common use judging by the number of sources for the keys you've all provided.

Cheers, Brian.
