Northstar were the same instruments under a different brand name, so if you can find one, it should work.

Aimar make for many brands. Navman and Northstar are Simrad nowadays so that might be a hint.

Thanks for that. I really want an in hull transducer rather than a through hull. I'll see if I can find Northstar locally, thanks

That shouldn't be a problem as there are brand specific in-hull kits and universal kits available.

I'm currently using the Airmar, bonded to the hull and filled with antifreeze:

Don't spend too much on the transducer, from personal experience and reports from others it is unlikely that the Navman depth head will prove reliable, these units are all now old. I started with a set of wind, speed and depth from Navman. The log has had to be replaced (with Advansea ) and the depth works unless there has been high humidity or rain when internal moisture affects the display. Segments of the digits do not display making guessing whether the depth is 7.1 or 1.1 rather embarrassing .Leaving the instrument on with the internal light on full eventually clears it but it is unpredictable.
