Crikey - posted about chartplotters and got 251 viewings and nil replies. Now I'm feeling unloved.

Anyway, navigated myself (without chartplotter /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) to the Navman stable. Does anyone have a Navman Tracker 5607 or the Northstar equivalent (Explorer 567) ?

Looks a tidy unit with 6" screen and uses NT Max. Any guidance ?

I have an earlier Navman - a 5500, and really like the menu system. Very intuitive. It appears that this new one uses the same menu structure, and I wish the 6" display had been available when I bought mine.

I like C-Map as well.

I have just aquired the Navman 5507 for our demo. Great unit and the higher res screen is superb. Menu system is intuitive and the ability to easily add AIS is a bonus.

We are also a Navimo (Navman) dealer, so if you want any more specific info feel free to ask.

Hi Jez

Knew there would be someone out there /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I'm off to my favourite swindlery today but why don't you let me know how much you'd do a 5607 with C Map NT Max cartridge covering East Anglia ? PM me if you'd rather not post it ?

Chris

Also consider...

I used a Navman 5600 for a couple of seasons and loved it. Very easy user interface. Excellent ergonomics for the buttons. The "compass ribbon" feature is good, too. If you're interested in the Navman 5607, the same-spec Northstar 567 is about £150 cheaper at only £600.

You might also consider the Lowrance GlobalMap 7200C, same 640x480 definition, bigger screen, only £550.
