Navman 7200 question

Anyone know how to change an MMSI number on a Navman 7200? Can't see it in the manual!

I believe that you will have to return the unit to the manufacturer/dealer for this to be reset, certainly the case on the Navman 7100.

The instruction booklet is quite specific on this.

It does not have to be sent away if you pm me some where to e mail it to I will send it to you after 17.00 when I get home , it is very easy to do its only a code.

Hi sb1. On the same thread do you know how to re set MMS1 no on a Raymarine 240E . The unit is from my previous boat which has my old number . Although new boat has same radio with its own mmsi no i wish to fit as a back up. Any advice greatly appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Sorry I cant help on that one , last year I rejected a new boat with Navman gear in it, they swopped everything off the old boat to the new one, I wanted to change the name this time so they got Navman to send me how to change the number, so thats the only on I have, sorry

I am sure that you are going to regret offering to help with reprogramming the MMSI on the Navaman 7200 but I am looking to replace my 7200 and would like to erase my MMSI before I sell it - can you help please.

Hi Gents

I am a French guy desperatly looking the way to change MMSI Nr on a second hand NAVMAN 7200 I bought . Need to enter my MMSI provided by French administration but the Navman manual says it is not possible.
Reading the posts above it seems a solution might exist. Can somebody help ?

A quick Google and I found this:

Turn radio off. Press and hold "scan" and "esc" while turning radio on. Enter pin: - 7 enter 1 enter 0 enter 0 enter. Follow menu to clear MMSI and/or ATIS. When done, turn off and on radio, and follow menu to enter MMSI again.

Apparently the pin for the 7 enter 2 enter 0 enter 0 model isn't too different from the above

Code 7100 will work for some 7100/7200 sets , if not its 1688.
