Navman 5607 NMEA Interface

I am having problems connecting a NMEA + and - from a depth transducer to a Navman 5607 chartplotter. The manual is less than helpful in this respect. Will this work if the transducer outputs are already connected to a radar? Any suggestions would be welcome. Also the power wires seem very thin guage?

I've got a diagram in colour from Navman, showing the connections from a fishfinder to a plotter. If this is any help, send me a PM and I will email it to you.

The speaker (depth sounder) outputs can be split to more than one listener (chartplotter, radar).

My Navman fishfinder 4380 is connected to my Navman plotter 5500. I can read depth, speed, and temp on either instrument display.
