Mine is running well except for some reason I am trying to figure out it does not sound an alarm even though I have this switched on. When I mounted it it showed wind direction totally wrong so I offset by 180 and it is now fine.

How do you get wind direction?
My alarm works - Android phone though!!
See attached. I calibrated against compass on my boat on assumption that in general the boat points into the wind at anchor. It isn’t perfect at all but seems to get general direction right. Apple clearly doesn’t like the app so still struggling re the alarm! I am too old to switch to android😀IMG_4924.png

I'm confused.
Are you saying that the app uses the phone to get direction because I don't think the Navis anemometer does.
If so, I didn't realise that.
At night on anchor, I use an Android app called "Anchor Alert" that monitors the boat's position and compass.
I use the Windy Navis on the same device just to get the wind strength.
So I have the boat's heading covered.
In fact, that Anchor Alert app can also set "Exclusion Zones" that will alert if the boat swings in a particular direction.
Never used it but it is there if required.
So, to recap - Navis Windy is just wind strength for me.

Wind direction requires an optional extra piece of hardware - which I didn't order - my windy is in Ireland and I hope to collect it next month.

Yes. I have it. It’s not entirely perfect but for example is working now ie showing correct wind direction
So, does that mean that the Windy now provides you with actual wind direction in relation to magnetic north?
Irrespective to the direction that the boat is facing.

EDIT
I've just looked again at your photos - at first, I didn't see the vane at the bottom of your Windy.
That all makes sense now.
So, the big question is - is the wind direction relative to the boat's direction or does this new Windy have its own compass built in?

So in picture below we were travelling NNE slowly and wind direction was as indicated. So seems to be reasonably ok

OK, so it is nice to know what the wind is doing whilst under way.
But, IMO, a better use would be at anchor.
Lets say, you have read the forecast and are expecting a stronger wind to come from a different direction than it is at the current time.
It would be good to set an alarm (or know) when the stronger wind / new direction arrives.

The kind of anchoring that we do, the boat swings a full 360 degrees (180 overnight) along with the sea breeze.
In the mornings, we are usually facing a 180 degree different direction than when we went to bed.
So, for me, it would be good to know the direction of the wind overnight at anchor irrespective of the boat's heading.
That would work particularly well if a kedge anchor is set or the stern is tied to the shore.
That way, I could "watch for" any predicted wind change.
Just my thoughts.

So we are at anchor now and boat just swung and is facing West. Wind is from South- this is unusual generally as NW is prevailing. So This seems to work. I don’t think you can alarm the direction but you can alarm the wind speed. Except I cannot seem to get the alarm to sound! But yes I agree with your observations/wants. Plus of course you Balearic guys need to watch for waves as well - not an issue we generally deal with here 😁😁

Go on - keep trying - maybe sometime!!!
That friend of mine that was in Lefkas is heading to Montenegro.
We (his brother and I) have threatened to fly out and meet him out there over the winter months.
So, maybe we can be enticed but Lefkas would be my favored place.
All "pipe dreams" of course but who knows? When we started this boating lark we never thought we would ever own a 20m Princess and that happened.
