Like "Persona non Grata" (person not welcome) my boat is "Navis non Grata" - boat not welcome, at my dry mooring any more. I phoned the yard today to make arrangements to lift out at the end of November, only to be told some cock-and-bull story of how they aren't accepting petrol boats any more - which is bollocks. Yer man on the end if the phone made the mistake of mentioning gas (as in LPG) as being also undesireable, which is funny - 'cos I never told him about LPG on my boat?? So who did??
What this is all about really, is the fact that some dick from our yacht club (shamefully) has gone up to the yard owner and told him of my plight of the ruptured petrol tank etc etc. with a view to keeping my dangerous (sic) boat away from his precious yacht.
Well stuff 'em, they aren't the only game in town, and there are another 2 yards to choose from, one of which is the North West's largest Sea Ray dealer and full of "dangerous" petrol powered boats.
I'm minded to stay in this winter anyway - b@stards!!
