Navionkcs app on Android 4 device?

I know Navionics say it isn't compatible, but I was just wondering if anyone had actually put it tothe test. Sounds like it works with 4.2 but I'm wondering about Android 4.3 aka Ice Cream Sandwhich.

ICS was 4.0.x. 4.2 is Jelly Bean. There is no 4.3. 4.2.2 is (currently) the latest
Edit: You probably mean 4.0.3 (API level 15). Can't necessarily vouch for that but navionics 5.3.1 certainly runs on the later level 17 API

I have a Galaxy s3 running 4.2.2 leaked firmware and it works fine for me (HD version which i purchased for my Nexus 7).

I have it on my Asus TF 101 running 4.0.3 and on my Galaxy S3 running 4.1.2, my version is 2.9. I also have GPS Nautical Charts and Plan2Nav and I rate these as being better/easier to use than Navionics and they are less costly and perhaps, more user friendly.

nexus 10- no problems!!!- a fanatastic app. - used as the main navigational tool for sailing through the Baltic rocks recently.

Also---the cheaper phone map is the same as the more expensive HD version- so if you have a 7" sceen- buy the cheaper version

A few weeks ago they removed the compatibility restrictions according to their app listing.

Thanks' for that they have, A few month back i downloaded the app to my smartphone a S3, but could'nt download it to my tablet ASUS 101 as it had to be the HD version they smartphone version has just installed on my tablet no problem

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab2 10.1 and the Navionics works well - just returned from a sailing trip on the west coast of Scotland and I thought it was superior to the fitted Raymarine plotter. Certainly much clearer when viewed from a distance. It does not have as many functions but I found it perfectly adequate and a bargain at £48 for the whole of the UK and Holland. Will be using it for my trip to Holland later on.
