How does one find out what areas are included when purchasing Navionics Apps? For instance the "Europe HD" App for Ipad, which I have just purchased, appears to include the Baltic, Central & West Europe plus the Mediterranean & Black Sea, which are listed as "In-App Purchases", but not UK & Holland, Skagerrak & Kattegat also listed as "In-App Puchases" nor Denmark. Surely Europe should include these areas! Is there a logical way of finding out before purchase?

Did that. However the "Europe HD" area is not included!

It should tell you in the product description in the app store. You can either buy the basic version and pay extra for smallish chart areas, or you can pay for the Europe version, which is a better deal that buying the separate charts. The coverage is shown as "Mediterranean and Black Sea" on that page, I believe. It certainly looks right.

Thanks. You are basically correct, in that in the description under more.. it includes a subtitle COVERAGE which then states it doesn't include UK, Channel Islands, Ireland, Denmark etc. and leads one to a basic coverage map. One would think coverage is fundamental and should be easier to find!
Thanks again.

It does show the coverage in the App Store but you have to swipe the images over to the left to see it:

The free Navionics app is the newest - includes no charts but you download what you want as in-app purchases. If you're not happy with what you bought I would contact them - they may be sympathetic.

Navionics

I purchased EUROPE CHARTS and then found that this doea not include UK.

I tried to cancel my order but Navionics refused to help me and siad tough you should have looked at the coverage.

I then had to buy UK and Holland and pay again.

This is I think very sharp practice and I am sure that we are not the only ones to have been ripped off in this manner.

I have been pretty disappointed with Navionics's customer service, recently. Whilst I think they provide, on the whole, good products, they are clearly an arrogant bunch who don't give a flying fig about what customers think.

My advice would be to contact Apple and ask them to refund you on the basis that Navionics have told you to bog off. Apple tend to be pretty good on customer service and will often overrule the individual companies.

I bought the UK and Holland app and thought it was obvious from the information given which areas are included.it did not take much research.I agree that not including UK in europe is perhaps unusual but the areas are clearly shown.
