I have just attempted to update my Navionics chart with the year free updates promised in the paperwork that came with it only to learn that as I hadn't registered the chart within two months of purchase I no longer qualified for this service. Of course there was no mention of this time limit beforehand :(

Would it be worth speaking to the retailer or Navionics or will I be just hitting my head against a brick wall?

Get in touch via the web (which will put you in touch with Italy) and also get on the phone to the UK office and follow that up with an email or two.

Best of luck - Navionics specialise in not living up to the most basic level of customer service, but dogged perseverance seems to work best I have found.

When I did this about a year ago there was a pull down box as part of the process where you said how long ago you bought the product. I chose the two months ago option and voila!
It was a lie but it worked.
Whenever I've had questions about navionics, I've called the uk office and they have been very helpful.

The process seems to be automated these days but thinking about it there was hotlink to follow if you had purchased the chart within two months so I might try that and see what happens, otherwise I'll give Navionics UK a try.

I had the same problem, UK office replied and said (effectively) lie on the pull down menu, which worked fine. However the smallprint on the package said it included 12 months free updates from registration and made no requirement to register within two months of purchase so i was all fired up to use that against them if need be. Their website is truly ****e though!

Has anybody got the update working on windows7 ? I have it working ok on xp and Vista but even in compatibility mode windows 7 kicks it out.
