The latest version is supposed to support importing gpx tracks, and because I'd really like to get one on to my tablet this evening, going well it is not...

I have version 11.1 on an Android 5.1 tablet, in my messages I noticed an invitation to update in order to gain the gpx import capability, so headed to the Play Store and I think it was successful, but I hadn't checked the version number beforehand and so can't be sure.

Either way, before and after this possible update I have the 'Tracks' option in the menu, but it's greyed out, unlike 'Routes' but 'Markers' is similarly grey. I can't see any option to turn these on, I'm logged in to my Navionics account, and yes, it's the paid for version renewed recently.

I've emailed Navionics, but I'd be very grateful for helpful suggestions while I'm waiting.

An answer in case you're interested. What I wanted to do was to bring in a track crelated on a handheld GPS and lay it over the full beauty of the Navionics chart. I finally found thebeginning of the solution in the apps own help menu and discovered the rest.

Email yourself with the GPX file as an attachment. Open the email on the device with Navionics on it and tap on the attachment, now a prompt should pop up asking if you'd like to open it with Navionics. You do like.

Now put the kettle on and make your beverage of choice. Enjoy. Return to your device and you should find another prompt asking if you'd like to import the file. You would.

And lo, when you open the menu you'll find a figure 1 next to the now black tracks button. This should save you five minutes of searching for where the bliddy app might possibly have hidden the file.
