Certainly so - though my experience of them is that their description of auto-routing is heavily caveated - perhaps that has now changed.

Hmmm, they are playing a bit of a dangerous game there.

I just asked Navionics to build me a route from the south side of the Isle of Wight into Portsmouth Harbour - and it completely failed to obey the rules for small boats entering Portsmouth - if I had allowed it to steer for me, I would have got an ear-full from QHM!

That said, it also told me :

"A route automatically calculated by this app does NOT replace safe navigational practices and should never be your only reference. Not to be used in hazardous waters"

So the error seems to be more in their marketing material than in the implementation of the software.....
