Does anyone know if I can have my Navionics app I have on my Samsung tablet on my Samsung phone as well, I have other apps like windguru and windfinder on my tablet then when I go into my google play store on my phone it says purchased so I can just click install and then I have the apps on both devices

The thing is when I go into my google play store on my phone and find the navionics app for uk and Holland that I have on my tablet it does not say purchased it says £23.99 so does this mean that Navionics only allow it on one android device, I know apple are different and you can have it on more than one device

So does anyone have the android version on more than one device even though only purchasing it once

cheers LB

Navionics went onto all my devices at no extra costs.
Navionics mobile help do reply to email, but it takes weeks.

Have you signed into the play store with the same account used to purchase navionics?

Also they have recently (on Apple devices anyway) stopped Navionics UK & Holland and have a free "generic" app called "Navionics Boating" and you buy the charts in the app.. Probably a way to get around paying the app store costs..

yes I have been signing into the same account on both devices

I have now found the reason it wont work it says my phone is not compatible with the app, in other words my phone is too old LOL thing is I am not one for these very modern phones and I have had mine for 3 years so only way to get it on my phone is change the phone

If you are comfortable with slightly advanced PC/Phone apps, you could look at Airdroid. It connects your phone to your PC via a wifi or mobile network. Both PC and phone on the same home network is ideal.

Once connected (not hard to set up) the PC can 'see' what is on the phone - it is great way to get say, photos on and off the phone. It can also see the apps on the phone and download them onto the PC. They appear as the package of software that makes up the app, on a PC the file has an .apk extension to its name. This won't run on a PC of course, but you can transfer it to another Android device.

As an example, I have used it to move the Times app from my tablet (Sony Z2, lovely tablet) to my phone, a Samsung S4 (getting a bit old, but there isn't anything that exciting amongst new phones). I installed The Times on the tablet. Then connected the tablet to the PC via Airdroid. Then using the PC I asked Airdroid to download the app from the tablet. I get a file called Times.apk. I then connect the phone to the PC via Airdroid and ask it to upload an app, choosing the file times.apk. The phone recognises an incoming app and installs it.

Now the caveats - you need to tell your phone in Settings to accept apps that don't come via the Play Store ("side loaded apps" I think it is called). Once installed the app may not work, or may not work perfectly. You may be breaking some copyright or licence restriction (but you paid for the app and they're happy for it to be on two devices, I have Navionics on the tablet and the phone).

It is a technique that has worked for me, but remember your mileage may vary :)
