I have been using Navionics on my iPad for about 3 years. Very happy with it but it has suddenly stopped showing depths

Any ideas? I have uninstalled and reinstalled but that didn’t help. My subscription is up to date.

All ideas gratefully received

Thank you
Graham

I can’t help as you’ve done the obvious thing of re-installing the app. I can only report that Navionics on my Hudl 2 has worked normally during the last few weeks when I used it extensively.

Reinstalling may not reset options that you previously selected. Take a look at the settings in "map options" and "advanced map options". There are several options within those menus that affect depth display. If you're not sure which to change, reset them to defaults.

Found this old thread whilst searching for the same problem as the OP had. I could not see any useful depth marks on the chart (plenty of contours, but no use without the depth value..!) Anyway, in case anyone else has the same problem the solution I found was to make sure that you've got the Navionics chart option selected, rather than the SonarChart option. The selection is via a little button on the display that I'd never used. It is just above the button for selecting head-up, course-up etc. For some reason SonarChart option doesn't display depths. I didn't even realise I had that option or that I'd selected it.

One of the options is to choose between original chart depths, or the user-provided sonar-chart depths. The detailed depths come &go as you toggle this on & off. Could that be it?

Is there a printed manual (or a .pdf) available for the Navionics app? I seem to be learning how to use it by trial and error but I would like to sit down and read some proper instructions.

Select menu and then at the very bottom of the list is the help, this then lists the functions etc which you can read through
