Hi all,
As a future Jester Challenge participant, I am looking for a Windvane that would work with my 22 feet Jeanneau "Love Love" type sailing boat. Last year, I have crossed the Pacific on a First-25 using a Navik, but I was not too happy with it. It was steering quite well, but it failed half way to Marquesas... A few days ago, I saw a Hasler SP which "looked" stronger to me. Any comparative feedback about using these two windvanes on small boats? Would the SP be suitable for my 22 feet Jeanneau? If yes, I may be interested to buy one... I am currently sailing along the south coast of UK, now in Poole area, heading west the next weeks.
