Navigation programme for win 8

Can anyone recommend a good navigation programme that works with windows 8? Cannot get the RYA plotter programme that comes with RYA day skipper course to install with win 8 anyone know how I can do this? Thanks

Don't know anything about RYA one but you could try Open CPN or Seaclear, both are free. Charts (CM93) for Open CPN can be had off internet, Visit My Harbour do good value charts for Seaclear, if any of that helps...
