My trusted navigation method - follow the ferry - is about to receive a serious blow.
I used to "follow" the Ferryways ferry out of Ipswich to Ostend.

Last week Ferryways was taken over by Antwerp based Cobelfret .
This week Cobelfret found "serious irregularities" in the Ferryways accounts.
So much so that Ferryways has now filed for bankruptcy.

All sailings out of Ostend (Immingham-Ipswich & Tilbury) have been canceled. About 100 people are expected to lose their job.

Could you keep up with them? Or is it that just as one disappeared over the horizon in front another one appeared from behind?

(I think you may be moored just across the river from my son's boat - an old wooden Nicholson - cream hull)

I was away last WE (Mum not well) but I've been told that on Sunday the wife and kids took the boat out for a spin. So where we're moored now is anybody's guess /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Still, not that she's proven she can do it on her own, it will (hopefully) mean less work for me next time /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Good for her! I know that I'll never really be skipper on our boat all the time my husband's there, however hard he pretends to play at "just being the crew", but I haven't plucked up the courage to go out without him yet, especially as we haven't had the boat very long! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
