Have now purchased the navionics for I pad. At present I have an ipad 2 wifi only. I can tether to my iPhone which works ok I think and this will save me spending another £579 for the new ipad but does anyone know how solid this arrangement is and also does this use data from the bundle I have with my iPhone bearing in mind that as I understand it the 3G is not actually required but jut the GPS chip.
