Navigate by what?

Sitting in the cockpit enjoying a glass of the local vino collapso during our cruise of S Brittany, the conversation between yours truly and SWMBO turned to Nav. (She is all for learning and I was making the encouraging noises...) After a few more glasses my dearly beloved asked me whether I had ever thought of using a laptart? I think I know what she meant to say but just to be sure I have searched Google for 'laptart'. Amazingly I got not a single reference on the Web. I even tried using the 'I feel lucky' button. Looks like its back to the paper charts for me.

Sounds like a very tactile, if expensive, method of navigation. Would you get rid of the chart table to make more room?

Where we moor our boat, you drive through some streets where the sort of tart that you might not want a slice of is normally displayed. I don't mind too much - except were they to start waving to me as if I know them...
