Navigables in Italy? Any info?

Folks

Need to get to Rimini on the Adriatic coast of Italy. Coming into the Mediterranean through the Canal du Midi. Do I have to sail all the way around the boot to get up to Rimini? The paucity of info on navigable rivers / canals in Italy suggest that I may have to. Can I get from the West (Mediterranean) coast of Italy to the East (Adriatic) Coast without sailing all the way around the South (Ionian) Coast? 30'x10'x3' Draco, by the way! Can't remember the air draught, but assume it won't be a problem!

Ferretti offer delivery from Rimini and describe the trip around the whole of Italy. No mention of a short cut. Anyway it would have to get over the Appenines, I think, and unless it was Roman, it wouldn't be finished.
