Can someone with one of these please tell me how to get the 'scan' function running?

have tried all the combinations of 'buttons' I can think of!!!

The set works fine / changes channel / etc.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Mike

I am pretty sure you go to scan by pressing first two buttons on left side at same time.
Hope this helps, if I am wrong and no one else comes up with the answer, I will bring my instruction book home from the boat on Tuesday and get in touch again.

I am sure that to scan, you press the first two buttons on the left at the same time.
If that does not work and no one else comes up with the info you require, I will bring my instruction book home from the boat on Tuesday evening and post you again.

I have one of these and I have never been able to get it to scan or Dual watch. I put it down to a faulty left hand button (the one that you press for the alternative button function) I would be interested to hear if you suceed!

My manual is also on board!

However I have an original brochure - which I needed as a reminder. From memory - and we all know how that fails sometimes:

There is a shift button on the left. Press the shift button release, and then quickly press the function you want. (The functions are yellow text). M/Scan, D/W, Scan, and a funny light symbol!

Since I haven't got the instructions - I have forgotten how to enter the channels you want in the memory scan. I think you press Shift and Ent at the same time and then M/Scan. That enters or removes the displayed channel.

Memory scan will only work if the internal battery is not flat, and it may affect other things as well. The battery is one of those small 9V radio batteries.

Hope this helps

Regard John M

PS - I am more than happy with the set.

I also have this set, which does not display channel 37, but it does display L1 L2 L3 on its channels. Any ideas what these are ?

I have one which works perfectly in all aspects except it has never scanned. If this is the internal battery, is it a difficult job to change it?

I have a Navico 6500s which came with my E-Boat. I would much appreciate it if you could E-mail me a copy of the manual as all I seem to be able to get at the moment is the squelch sound!
