Navico RT6500S manual

Anyone have a copy of the manual for this VHF that I can copy or even better, a URL for a manual? I've inherited one with the boat... and while basic operation is very straightforward, I can't work out the dual watch function etc etc...

Simrad took over Navico a few years ago, so there may be someone within Simrad who worked at Navico. Worth a phone call to find out.

My old Navico which I don't have anymore was a 6100. In case they are similar and noting nobody else can help it worked by turning to the channel you wanted to Dual Watch and once on that channel you pressed the DW button. It then monitored that second channel plus 16. There were no other choices. To Scan, you pressed Scan once and it did a restricted list or pressed and held down and it scanned the lot. I don't know if its similar to the 6500 but I mention it in case it helps!

Did you ever get the manual for Navico RT6500S? I have purchased a boat with this same old VHF, and the manual is missing. Would be happy if anyone could help me out on this...

To complete the thread for the archive, Peter kindly sent me an electronic copy of the manual after the initial post back in early 2005..... excellent service for an elderly bit of kit!

Glad that you got fixed up OK, Forum Members do try to help each other, but at times I wonder why we bother. in the last 4 months two members have asked if anyone has a handbook for the Navico RT6500S in both cases I have offered to send my old Owners Manual free of charge, both failed to answer my message.
