Help?

As a service to the boating community we buy, sell and repair these instruments. We have spares available. You can also donate your old Corus units if upgrading to a newer type and we will make a contribution to your boat.

Now if someone said the same about Cetrek that would be really useful.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hello, Tom.

My C400M has lost its sounding function. I tried a new spare transducer without success. I could hear both the original and the spare "ticking" which leaves me to believe the fault lies with the C400M. The other functions, including the knotmeter and thermometer work fine.

If you can help, I would really appreciate it.

Navico Corus

We provide service and spares for the Navico Corus sail instruments and autopilots. These are probably the best instruments ever sold in terms of circuit quality and overall user friendliness. Repaired and reconditioned instruments are usually better than new with a number of Navico's original technical problems resolved and upgraded.

The volatility within the marine industry in regards to companies going out of business, being purchased and liquidated suggests it is probably a good option to keep any Corus items you have and have them maintained. Recently Raytheon's yachting products were purchased by another company whose primary interest is in infra-red imaging for limited visibility situations. This is a great feature, even superior to radar in close navigation, but if the past is any indication the purchase will result in further declines of Ray's already limited service for older products.

If you do decide to replace your Navico Corus instruments we will make a generous contribution to your replacement budget by purchasing your Corus gear so that other owner's systems can be kept in use.

Fortunately I'm not in the market for new instruments, but this sounds a very worthwhile initiative, the sort of get up and go required to make things work ( I'm avoiding a certain 'pro...' phrase ) .

Tom, you deserve every success.
