Hi has anyone got an LCD display unit - depth display has started to fail - or can direct me to somewhere I might get a spare?

Or know of alternative display units that can serve as an alternative - same wiring?
Thanks
Kevin

Thanks - followed up but no c600ad replacements around anymore so unless I pick a display up from someone who has replaced their system looks like I will be upgrading - something I wasn't budgeting for this year

I do sympathise - we were faced with the same problem on our previous boat - always nervous every time we switched the instruments on - replacements are not cheap these days! I think the sensors are fairly standard devices, so there's a good chance that NASA instruments would work with them.

If you've got the NMEA bridge then you could display it that way - or I see that jgtech sell a stand alone unit that will convert it to NMEA.

Alternatively it is a standard transducer so there will be other heads that are pretty much a direct connection - you just need to make sure you get the correct frequency (they come in two flavours - 150kHz and 200kHz)

Navico Corus service and spares

Spares for the complete Navico Corus line and repairs are available from:

Tom LaMers
tlam45387@aol.com

These are probably the best overall instruments ever made for pleasure craft.

Note: Corus instruments use a 600watt, 150kHz transducer. Others will function but not well.

They are so good that 14 yrs ago i chose Raytheon ST 60s over Navico. what a wise decision that turned out to be.
My Raytheon have never let me down, most Navico gear has been skipped by now

The only problem with Navico is the lack of spares and support. When their last range came out they were better and cheaper than Raytheon / B&G - unfortunately they were killed off when the company was taken over.

The only problem I have with mine is the bearings on the mast head unit are not running as freely as they should :(

That is why I use Tom LaMers. He is based in the USA offers a very good service.
The only problem I have had is with UK customs charging duty on my own equipment that I have sent him to be fixed.
