Nav\' lights.

Recently bought our Nimbus 345 (4 years old) and just noticed that it only has port and starboard lights and an all round white at the top of the burgee mast.

All previous boats of similar size have had the full complement of port and starboard, fwd and aft steaming lights and separate anchor light. I can't believe that Nimbus would not provide the statutory lighting requirement and I don't currently have access to my Almanac.

Can anyone confirm legality of the Nimbus set up?

Re: Nav\' lights.

You are under 12m so you only need an all round white and green and red. Windy have only fitted this on their new 11.8.

they should have a separate switch for the all round white and the red/green ones, so that the steaming/stern light can be used as an anchor light too.

Mike, it's a whole new world now that you've taken the old overcoat off!! (Broom). Welcome to the real world of boating!! Hope the new boat's OK - enjoy.

Many thanks Alan.
Are you or have you gone through the "change"?

New boat is great, but significantly less commodius.
