Nav Lights and collision regs

Hello the original poster is back.
Once again I am very aware of the regs - the simple fact is my new Sadler isnt fitted to comply I believe.
I am able to use appropriate lights under sail - deck level port/stbd/w stern or use the dreaded tri colour.
However whilst under motor I do not have a mast head white light. My only option would be to motor under the disguise of a vessel under sail or use my anchor white 360 and disable the stern light.
Simples!

That's what most people do, switch the stern light separately, maybe not as elegant as a proper masthead light and stern light, but the bowlights and all round white can be used when motor sailing without the genoa masking anything.
