Nasty sounding accident on the Cowes chain ferry today.

Leaving East Cowes marina after lunch today, the harbourmaster was stopping everyone, telling them there had been an accident on the chain ferry, to slow down and stay on the western side of the fairway. The coastguard helicopter had landed in the ferry car park, with the air ambulances circling above. There was a fire engine, and several police cars in attendance, with a RIB with blue flashing lights floating offshore. It did look bad, and turns out it was a 45 year old crew member that had had an accident in the engine room. Nevertheless, with the vast amount of emergency crews aattendance, it did look a bit like overkill. The guy was eventually airlifted to hospital, condition unknown..That thing is jinxed
