True story reported on CNN.....
.....a woman was working in a post office in California. One day she licked some envelopes instead of using the sponge. Whilst doing so she cut her tongue on one of the envelopes.
A week later she noticed an abnormal swelling of her tongue. She went to the doctor and they found nothing wrong. Her tongue was not sore or anything.
Several days later her tongue started to swell more, and it became very sore, So sore that she she could not eat. She went back to the doctor who sent her to Hospital. The hospital took an X-ray and noticed a lump. She was refered for minor surgery.
When the doctor cut her tongue open a live cockroach crawled out!!!! There were roach eggs on the seals of the envelopes and the egg was able to hatch inside her tongue because of the saliva being warm and moist.
Apparantly cockroches are known to live in paper stores and eat the glue on the envelopes- depositing eggs as they go.
