did anyone else here the power boat/sailing yacht crash.. I heard the Calshott lifeboat/yacht on the radio (apart from the casualty working being interupted by the normal radio checks and chum calling) sounded pretty nasty a cut leg and jammed anchor being cut free??
I hope the casualty is OK..

Yes but it sounded like a dragging anchor incident occurring outside Newtown rather than a "crash". It was the 20' mobo skipper (single handed) who was injured trying to fend off. His anchor chain got wrapped round the yacht's (35') keel thus the crews couldn,t separate them. The injured man was taken to an ambulance at Lymington by the Calshot lifeboat and first helpers to arrive tried to hacksaw through the mobo's anchor chain but I didn't hear the how the separation was finally achieved and what was done with the crewless mobo.

hey! umm this casualty thing, im his daughter (the man who got innjured) and hes okay now :) had 9 stitches n has been hobbling around. it wasnt his fault at all, he was minding his own business and th sailing boat came to him and caused problems with the anchor chain. thanks for caring though :) but the injured man is okay :) nice to see such caring people out there, muchly appreciated x
