Good idea, Should be possible.

Unfortunately I now don't have easy access to take photo's of it.

It really depends on how they come apart. I didn't look particurally close at it to see how practical this would be as I was fitting it for someone else on his boat.

If they could be mounted correct way up with the white all round on the top with most of it's mounting rod removed, then the feed wire could be run down the front middle of the tricolour and it would have a minimal effect on the beam pattern.
Just a thought.

With thoughts of NOT voiding the warrenty, a bracket with two verticle plates edge on to the light to support the upper unit would not interfere with the light pattern much. Prob need to be matt black to avoid reflections out of angle.
