Nasa Navtex Aerial Moisture

Does anyone have any experience of moisture problems with NASA Navtex aerials and how to overcome them?
Last season I installed a NASA Navtex pro-plus, following the installation instructions to the letter.
Since then I have repeatedly had to dry the inside of the aerial.
The cable from the display to the aerial has no breaks in it. The o ring and seals at the base of the aerial look ok and have a smear of silicon grease on them. Yet moisture in significant quantity continually finds it way inside.

<font color=blue>It may look OK but obviously it isn't. If that is the only ingress point it has to be getting in there.

Try loads of grease, The ariel has a live feed to it (2v I believe) check the joint. Ring Navtex themselves as an alternative they are extremely helpful.number is in your paperwork.

i have the old style of whip aerial. it is stuck inside the cabin roof and receives fine. naturally it doesn't get wet.
