Does anyone know if the NASA GPS Repeater will work with a Furuno GPS 30? I have heard that there are sometimes problems with the Furuno talking to other kit. The GPS is a great piece of gear but I want to add a cockpit repeater. Thanks for any advice.

I have certainly connected it to a Garmin 128 without any problems.
SWMBO even recognised the coordinates on the display of the repeater.

Don't know about your hardware however.

I have this repeater and Furuno GP30 set up. Have not got the instruction book to hand but I think you have to set the NMEA signal on the GP30 to repeater choice is repeater or autohelm. If it is set to autohelm it will not work as part of the required sentence is missing.
The only thing I miss is the track plot, but getting rid of the GP30 from the cockpit which did not look right was worth while.
I think you will find http://www.allgadgets.co.uk the best priced supplier.

I connected the NASA Repeater to my Furuno GPS30 last year. Was very satisfied with result. Saves a lot of climbing into the cabin while underway. Have copy of instruction book. Should you need same post me. Cheers
