Some advice please...
My NASA Clipper Duet has developed an odd problem on the display. Segments of the digits drop out at random and then reappear. The battery seems to be reasonably charged (in so far as the cabin lights are bright). Is this a voltage problem, or a moisture problem (condensation over the winter), or something else?

many thanks,
martin

most likley is the driver chip or the socket the lcd is plugged into has a bad connection, i removed mine gave a spray of switch cleaner (ebay) its been fine ever since.

I had problems a couple of years ago with the LCD on a previous Duet and this was due to corrosion within the connections. Nasa were very helpful and dispatched a new one for around £10 and it was a simple replacement procedure.
I cleaned the old one and have retained it as a spare

Ah, that makes sense. I have some contact cleaner so i'll give that a go before i dispatch the unit to NASA Marine.

Thanks also for their phone number. They ruled out condensation as a problem but suggested replacing the display for "around 15-20 pounds all in". I was expecting having to replace the whole unit so was pleasantly surprised.
