Never rated it myself, far better places to eat in Largs, lets hope whoever buys it runs it better and creates a better menu. Bosums kitchen can do a good lunch.
About 15 yrs ago on a trip from lamlash to largs we picked up a mayday, as it was near us we responded and it was three old chaps in a moody, no wind and engine not working, so as they were going to largs we gave then a tow, I managed to breath enough life ino the engine so they could enter the marina under their own steam. We got berthed up and were just about to leave when one of he chaps turned up and invited us o a family meal, It turned out to be a Nardini Family meal in the restaurant and a freindlier (huge) family of people you couldnt wish to meet. So I hope theyreall ok.
Well its 20 years since I was there, but there was Nardinis at the north end of Largs if I remember. I am not familiar with the Nardinis at the Marina which must be comparatively recent. Are they both in trouble or just the marina one. I'd be sad to see them go, but on the other hand if they have lost the plot in relation to the opposition, its the law of the jungle.
Owners ready to retire to somewhere warm with son running? upstairs restaurant so could be a calculated "happening"
Currently lots of exciting "ongoings"in the Town of Largs, the original Nardini's now totally refurbed and just about ready to open ,The Townhouse (now ROOM) under new ownership and of course LOUNGE still winning awards for their Bar/ restaurant this coupled with with other establishments eating into the local food , drink and cafe business could seriously affect or have affected this business
