Napoli - salvage - progress?

Saw the bit about the collision on the local news last night. Now don't get me wrong, I have a lot of time for fishermen, but they're bu**ers for not keeping a proper lookout! I regularly had to send a standby boat to intercept fishing boats when I was towing rigs.

Hmm don't jump to conclusions, I know that fishing boat and the family that crew and own it, they've operated for decades out of Lyme with no previous problems. Whose fault it was I don't know and I doubt whether you do either.

No I don't but, with all due respect, I know as an ex pro seafarer that you can tell a lot from what part of the vessels are damaged. The stem of the fishing boat is set right back which suggests that the fishermen T-boned the barge good and proper. If you're gonna have a prang make sure your damage is on your port side!
