I am low on fuel and my itinerary is La Rochelle, Royan, Santander, Llanes, Gijon, Ribadeo, Viveiro, La Corunna. I have diesel capacity of 600 galls (2,700 ltrs).

Have been unable to obtain diesel prices online for La Rochelle or Santander.

Any opinions on whether I fill up at La Rochelle or take minimum to get me to Santander, about 600 ltrs and fill up in Spain? ETD La Rochelle 8th September.
Thanks

our good friends on Ocean Spirit will be along with an accurate figure but wait for Santander. It will be around 1.05 euro pl versus La Rochelle, (Minimes), which is a pain to fuel on and and probably itro 1.30 euro pl....

Santander is a regular forecourt with a pontoon out the back - fast fuel (ish) and no stupid card max cut offs that they seem to have all over Brittany...

but like I say, Richard has just fuelled up there and will have an accurate figure....

Thanks for the good advice. Will load up 700 ltrs at La Rochelle, (Minimes) and fill the tanks at Santander

Here you go:
Portosin: 1.20 (end May)
Viveiro: 1.10 from tanker arranged by marina (22 June)
Santander: 1.03 (5 July) - as Nigel says from filling station
Zumaya: 1.10 (11 July)

All prices in Euro.

Haven't refuelled in France yet but I am not looking forward to it as it will be more I fear.

We are in Port Medoc at the moment and plan to be here for a while yet.

Safe and smooth passages to you.

Richard (Ocean Spirit)

Many thanks for your very helpfull info. Santander looks like the place for major refuel.

As others have said, fill up at Santander.

Here are the prices we paid per litre over the last 6 weeks.

Minimes €1.38
Santander €1.069
La Coruna €1.20

Your fears are real....

Roscoff was €1:30 and Cruoesty was €1.25 when we topped up last week. Rumour has it (well, the cheery fuel attendant in Roscoff) that prices across France will be going further north in due course...
