Any idea what this item on my ladder is?

I don’t know what the round disc is..but those blocks are used for mounting a bbq and other things

Does the ladder fold down into the water if so ,it might be a anode

It does, but it’s plastic so I don’t think it’s an anode.

Barbecue mount, spot on. Very similar to this one. Thanks for spotting that - it's been puzzling me for ages. Sadly the bbq itself is long gone!
