Mystery Dongle

Hi all. I have some sort of Dongle in the Engine compartment of my Sealine 310. See

Has a black cable going off into the bulkhead, othe side are two wires heading over overside of boat and again vanishing into bulkhead.

Anyone had/seen similar on their boat and knows what it's purpose?

Thanks, seems an odd place to have it, not that readily accessible, and there are switches for led lights in cockpit. But may be linked, will check further. Many thanks
