I have set off with a forecast for F7-9. Big boat, strong crew, fair wind, plenty of sea room. But not F8-11!

Do you just plan to sail along the Medway down wind ? I guess it depends on what you sale but it might be quiet on the Solent this weekend apart from sun sail boats on trading trips crashing around picking up buoys of course.

The only thing us wimps on the East Coast will be doing is putting out some extra ropes on the boat the day before , before legging it back home to watch the entire thing out of a double glazed window.

Surely you be syphoning all the diesel out before legging back ??
