On patrol today Solent, blacks and ballaclava.

Spotted yacht approaching the anchorage Friday we need to keep clear for Tuesday ('Brenda Day'). Switched on blues and twos and made a course to intercept.

Language problem with skipper so made sure my 'pack' visible. Always does the trick.

Jock skipper, poor eyesight calls me a lubricated shoreleave belle. I'm not having none of that.

He was well jammy to get away with a caution. Idiots, these boats with sails.

How was your day?

The last time we were stopped by the fuzz on the water - outside Milford - we asked the buggers to show their warrant cards before letting them on board. As they were in thick black anonymous drysuits, they had some struggles....

But then we put the kettle on for 'em - which is what they were after, after all.

Can't see me doing that anytime soon for those aggressive Solent types.
