My old Furuno GP1650WF plotter needs a new internal battery

If you want to diy, open it up and you'll probably find a button-cell battery soldered in somewhere behind the pcb. Replace this and your memory will be restored. This advice does not relate directly to this particular device, but I did this successfully on some device or other a few years ago.

You should be able to buy a battery with solder tags attached.
