It is always a shame to see a boat at the end of it's days especially one with a history. But I suspect that it would be cheaper to build new rather than restore it properly.

Then 25 - 30 tons lead ballast with lead at 50 cents a lb Thats $28000 + to start. If the Gardners run OK then a coat of paint an oil change and on to Flea bay as matched pair reconditioned and ready to go. $40,000 Even seized solid guys will buy them as core units.
