so after taking more stuff apart there is no drain bung as in the pics and no oil in that area , it seems it should just have some grease in there for the shaft and nothing else . thanks
dont give him any tips on paint jobs.Excellent stuff. Looks better just in primer!
Mmmm pretty sure that hole isn’t meant to be there! Any grease will wash out in minutes once underway. Have you drained the oil?so after taking more stuff apart there is no drain bung as in the pics and no oil in that area , it seems it should just have some grease in there for the shaft and nothing else . thanks
Looks like a 23ft Day Cab. I owned one in the Canary Islands for a few years. The 150hp turbo Penta was good, the design brilliant, BUT the Volvo leg drive was a nightmare. So I finished up selling it after only 6 months just because of the leg drive was too badly worn.so after a lot of looking round I decided on sept the 4th to buy a 23ft sun seeker
owner had it for 4 years and basically spray painted everything in sigh black , including all the amazing wood work GRRRRR
so I have decided to try to bring all the wood back as I think its teak , then modernise and refit all the interior
complete boat re wire
engine and out drive full service and inspection

new paint on the top and graphics
all new gauges , flooring and seating
There was a load of filler in a corrosion hole. It’s at the back of the outdrive base.
I can’t work out if anything passes through this area. I don’t think it does. It was full of greasy mud. Am I to assume no water passes this area. Just fo I can work out how best to repair it. Thanks. It’s a alpha 1 gen 1.
