MV Wind Surf

Does it have anything except the staysails? Seems like they'd be a bit short on area for propelling the thing at any speed, so more of a novelty and fuel-economy measure than a true sailing vessel?

Here are a few photos of her with sails up - http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/showallphotos.aspx?imo=8700785

The sails are very effective, despite looking relatively small - I have had occasional survey jobs on her in the past while she has been out in the Caribbean for the winter season, and the crew told me that she has often reached 15 knots under sail power alone.

The sails on her smaller sisters Wind Star and Wind Spirit are even more important, and form a significant part of their propulsion capability. The smaller vessels each have a single electric motor propelling them, while Wind Surf has two.
I also heard stories about the smaller vessels where they were having to plug to windward under power in the evening when the galley ranges are fired up, and everybody is having showers and lights are on, and they were only making 4 or 5 knots boat speed because the hotel services were using a fair chunk of the 'leccy which would otherwise be allocated to propulsion.
They probably then had to resort to motor sailing and beating!
