I have seen this factory outlet recommended (also stocks Henri Lloyd gear?) and I understand they also have another shop in the south.
Can anyone comment and give directions? Would it be worth a 100 mile trip? Are the stock levels good?
I am looking for a snug/watch coat and the boss wants a goretex waterproof for walking. Thanks.

They do have some reasonably good reductions there but stock is limited and finding what you are after is a very hit and miss business. It isn't possible to predict what will be on offer so travelling a 100 miles on the off chance is a tad optimistic. The Henri Lloyd shop is in the same place and the same applies. Ive had bargains from both but I only live 30 minutes away so can drop in frequently.

Musto store Swindon

Mustos do have outlet stores at Swindon outlet and Bicester, sizes mostly xl or small not a great range in either they have also a store at the new Gloucester Quay outlet again okay but not great also Helly Hanson have store in Gloucester and Bicester I would ring them up before you travel 100 miles

Bicester is good but you have to be lucky, only 5 mim drive for me so look in early on a regular basis to get the bargains.

I brought stuff at the Swindon outlet, ok for me as I am over 6ft 6", but a full range of sizes isn't available. Henri Lloyd in same complex but has loads of stuff that was too big even for me. Probably not worth a 100mile trip.

There's a shop at Ashford (Kent) in the 'MacArthur Glen Outlet Centre' I think it's called. Close to the International railway sation.
It's a small shop and the stock when I visited was mainly the fashion stuff, but there was a very small stock of waterproofs.

I needed to buy a set of good oilies for my son and called up the Musto and HL outlets to se what they had and -- as has been said -- the size range was very limited and confined to each end of the size spectrum i.e. Small or Huge. The Musto guy at Bicester said that they would probably have more choice as the season approached.
I needed the stuff now and shopped (on line) around the various suppliers. The best deal I got for a suit of Musto MPX Gore Tex oilies was from Marine Superstore who were £160 cheaper than the same product from our local chandlery.

the musto shop in bicester is closing in a few weeks for a 6-8 week refit. open again after easter.... so don't all rush to bicester......

I'm always quite sucessfull at both ashford and bicester branchs.... never bought sailing gear just clothing and jackets.
