Last week I returned my 5yr old MPX jacket to Musto for repair as the velcro had parted on the storm flap that covers the zip. I knew I could have tried to claim it under the lifetime guarantee but I figured I could do without a fight over it for a jacket with five seasons behind it and just wanted the repair done, so I didn't raise the issue with the lady on the phone when I booked it in. Anyway it was returned today tidily repaired and accompanied by a note that there had been no charge. These days it is often so hard to get a company to stand by its guarantees, or even your statutory rights, that it's great to see a company standing by its own standards without prompting, even if it was a small repair. Good on Musto.
