I bought an ipod docking sysytem that incorporates a radio/alarm. DC lead feed is 9v and a maplin step down multi plug works great.
Beuty is it can leave the boat when i want, radio and tons of ipod music, and can be launched overboard in a foit of rage when the footie result is desperatly bad!

Nothing better than good, loud music in the cockpit in the right conditions. No need to annoy the neighbours, just sail away from them.
