Murphy's Laws of sailing. Why ....

Re: Murphy\'s Laws of sailing. Why ....

Do you speak from personal experience?.
I've had stuff from Aria & been pleased with service. I was thinking of making a larger purchase, but you have me worried now.

Yes - I am in the middle of a dispute with them which has now been going on for over three months. Purchased some kit from them (over £800 worth) back in July. Part of the kit, the chassis/mainboard, proved to be faulty which of course meant that the processor, screen, disk monitor etc. were also useless. Got an RMA number out of them - eventually.

The faulty items were returned over three months ago, but despite numerous emails I have still not received a replacement. Threatened them with Trading Standard which prompted them to email some ten days ago to inform me they had now despatched working kit. Nothing has been received. Can't even email them now as they insist on contact through their web pages, tried that and guess what? No response. Means you have no proof that you ever contacted them.

Am placing this all in the hands of Trading Standards today.

Cowboys? They redefine the term. I'd steer well clear if I were you.

Cheers

Colin

Bought a wind up one from local hardware shop, given it a good workout for over a year and it's still going strong. If all three LED's are used will last 5mins before needing another whirl. Saved a fortune in batteries.

As "Mrs" Pessimist I get to do all the lousy jobs! I have just finished documenting the 3 month saga with Aria - 2 pages of summary and 13 pages of emails etc - in preparation for Trading Standards, Small Claims or whatever it takes. We too have been buying from Aria for quite a long time but after this shambles - no more. If anyone would like a copy of the PDF document to see exactly what's gone on then please PM me.
